In simple terms, a hydrophobic filter cartridge is a product that is not easily wetted by water but can be wetted by organic solvents such as alcohol and isopropanol. Its main function is to intercept and block the entry of moisture. It utilizes a hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filter membrane as the filtration medium, suitable for pre-filtration or terminal sterilization filtration of gases or solvents. The PTFE filter membrane exhibits strong hydrophobicity, making it suitable for pre-filtration and fine filtration of gases, as well as sterilization filtration of solvent media.
