With the increasing concern for air quality, dust collectors have garnered more attention and importance. Among them, bag dust collectors are widely used due to their high efficiency and energy-saving advantages. Let's explore how bag dust collectors work.

I. Structure of Bag Dust Collector

A bag dust collector consists of the following main parts:

Inlet: a pipe for receiving dusty gas.

Housing: including the outlet section, converging section, and baffles connected to multiple filter bags.

Filter bags: the heart of the bag dust collector, usually made of materials such as polyester fiber, with advantages like resistance to deformation and expansion at high temperatures.

Pulse-jet device: used for cleaning the filter bags, typically using high-pressure gas for pulse cleaning.

Dust hopper: collects the filtered dust.

II. Working Principle of Bag Dust Collector

Dust collection process: The airflow entering the bag dust collector first passes through the converging section, where the device minimizes the airflow velocity, leading to inertial electrostatic effects. During this process, large dust particles are separated and intercepted by the baffles inside the housing.

Filtration and dust cleaning: As the airflow passes through the filter bags, dust particles smaller than the filter bags are isolated, while clean air passes through the bags into the outlet of the housing and is discharged. However, over time, a thick layer of dust accumulates on the filter bags, reducing the airflow rate. To ensure the efficiency of the bag dust collector, contaminated filter bags need to be cleaned. The cleaning process involves using a pulse-jet device to spray high-pressure compressed air into the filter bags, dislodging dust from the surface of the bags and depositing it into the dust hopper for collection.

III. Advantages of Bag Dust Collector

High efficiency: With its fine filter mesh structure, bag dust collectors can filter out over 99% of fine particles in the air, maintaining good air quality.

Energy-saving: Since the cleaned filter bags can be reused, there is no need for frequent replacement, effectively saving resources and energy.

Environmental protection: Compared to traditional dust collectors, bag dust collectors emit lower levels of dust in exhaust gases, meeting environmental requirements.

In conclusion, bag dust collectors are efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly dust removal devices. In future applications, with continuous improvements in production processes, their performance and overall benefits are expected to become increasingly prominent. The selection of bags, which are the core part of bag dust collectors, is particularly important.

Shanghai Sffiltech Co., Ltd. utilizes high-performance fibers and high-strength base fabrics as the main raw materials, producing various high-precision, high-temperature resistant, abrasion-resistant, and corrosion-resistant filter products required for actual operating conditions. These products are widely used in industries such as thermal power, steel, cement, chemical, glass, waste incineration, non-ferrous metallurgy, and others.
