The reverse osmosis filter cartridge, also known as RO membrane filter cartridge, utilizes membrane separation technology to achieve filtration. It is widely used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and seawater desalination.

The cleaning steps for reverse osmosis filter cartridges are as follows:

1.Pump clean, chlorine-free reverse osmosis product water from the cleaning tank (or respective water source) into the pressure vessel and discharge it for several minutes.

2.Prepare cleaning solution in the cleaning tank using clean reverse osmosis filter cartridge water (different membranes require different cleaning solutions).

3.Circulate the cleaning solution in the pressure vessel for 1 hour or the predetermined time.

4.After cleaning, drain the cleaning tank and rinse it, then fill the cleaning tank with clean product water for the next rinse.

5.Pump clean, chlorine-free reverse osmosis filter cartridge water from the cleaning tank (or respective water source) into the pressure vessel and discharge it for several minutes.

6.After rinsing the reverse osmosis system, run the system with the product water discharge valve open until the product water is clean, free of foam, or cleaning agent.

When installing reverse osmosis filter cartridges, it is important to ensure that the system has completed the cleaning process. When installing membrane elements into the system, properly lubricate O-rings and concentrate water seals using silicone-based grease or a 50% glycerol water solution. Avoid using oil, grease, vaseline, or petroleum-based compounds. When installing membrane elements one by one into the pressure vessel, eliminate gaps at the pressure vessel end plate by adding gaskets to prevent membrane elements from moving in the pressure vessel during system startup and shutdown. This also reduces the possibility of leakage at the external connections of reverse osmosis membrane elements.
